Week 5

LET'S GET MOVIN' MARCH!

We’re a Movin’March school and counting down to Wednesday the 1st March when we’ll start stamping passports at the gate as part of the Walk or Wheel Passport Challenge all through March. Walking or wheeling to school is a great way to get active, know your neighbourhood, kick start learning for the day AND take care of the environment. Remember students don’t have to complete their passports to go in the draw to win a $400 MYRIDE voucher at the end of March!

Fancy going in the draw to win a scooter? Parents who take part in the Whānau photo competition on the Movin' March Facebook or Instagram will be in to win 1 of 5 adult or child Micro Scooters or a Family Pass to Staglands or Zealandia.

Keep an eye out for the stamping passports which will be coming home, and our Enviro team who will be stamping passports in the mornings at the gate during March. Once the passport is filled, come and see the team in Rm 10 for your prize.

EASTER RAFFLE

We are running an Easter Raffle this year to support the purchase of new technology for the school. This was a highly successful fundraising initiative when we last ran it two years ago (pre-covid). 

We are asking whānau for donations of items to contribute to the raffle. These could be chocolates, easter themed activities/items, beauty products to name a few. Could all donated items please come to the office by Friday 10th of March.

We will be sending raffle tickets home with children on the 20th March and would be most appreciative if you could sell as many as you are able. Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.

All money and unsold raffle tickets need to be returned to the office by Wednesday 29th March and placed in the letterbox next to the reception counter.

NETBALL

School Netball for years 5 - 8 will start in Term 2. We will be sending out a Signmee notice in the next couple of weeks to get the names of those students who are interested in playing.

Mondays - Year 5&6 starting 8 May
Saturdays - Year 7&8 starting 6 May

A reminder that our younger Netballers in years 1 - 4 now have their FutureFERNS programme run in Terms 1 & 4.
