Maungaraki School —

Art Showcase

Kia ora e te whānau,

Brrrrrrr, it has been icy up here at school the past fortnight. Please ensure that your children bring warm clothes as it can get very cold in the breeze. We do have a large collection of jackets and jerseys piling up in the lost property. If you do have a chance and think you are missing something please swing by the office and have a look.

We are in the midst of some amazing art up here at Maungaraki School as we prepare for the upcoming art showcase. Our classrooms are a hive of different styles of art as students explore artists and different ways of expressing themselves. We also have Dances for Schools in working with us over the next two weeks. This is a great programme which gets us all moving to the music. We are looking forward to sharing our new skills with you.

Thank you so much for your support of our Chocolate Fundraiser. We have seen so many boxes of chocolates heading out the gates to be sold. If you would like to sell another box please do pop into the office and ask. All of the funds for this fundraiser are going towards some shade in the playground which is much needed. A huge thank you to the Home and School committee for their hard work getting this event organised. They are awesome!

Thank you also to all of you who took the time to fill out our community survey. We are in the process of organising some focus groups as we analyse your feedback. We really appreciate the efforts that you have gone to.

Until next time, be your best.
