2024 SCHOOL STRUCTURE

We hope this message finds you well. As we look ahead to the 2024 school year, we are excited to introduce our wonderful team of educators and our syndicate structure. We continue to foster a strong, supportive environment for our students, ensuring their growth and success.

Our staff members are dedicated to providing the best educational experience for your children. They are passionate about fostering a love for learning and helping our students achieve their full potential.

Syndicate Structure for 2024:

We are thrilled to announce that our four syndicates—Kākano, Tipu, Koru, and Ponga—will remain intact for the 2024 school year. This structure allows us to maintain the sense of community and growth throughout the school.

We have two new staff members joining our team next year, Anna and Grace, who will both be in the Tipu team.

Grace has been teaching for five years. She is currently working at Churton Park School in the junior school area. Grace is passionate about the arts, literacy and wellbeing.

Anna is a beginning teacher who has had her training experience at Island Bay School. Anna is a Lower Hutt native with a passion for fitness, particularly cheerleading.

I am sure you will join me in welcoming them to Team Maungaraki.

2024 Class Placements

We are in the process of considering class placements for 2024. Staff look at a wide range of factors to make classroom lists that best suit the learning and social needs of all children. If you do have something additional that you would like to be taken into consideration before we finalise placements, please contact me before Monday 20 November by emailing: principal@maungaraki.school.nz or alternatively give the office a call and they can make a time for us to chat.

To assist our future planning it helps to know who will be joining us in 2024. If you have a new entrant due to start or know of someone in the community who will be starting in 2024 please ask them to go to our website www.maungaraki.school.nz to enrol.
