SCHOOL DRIVEWAY

A reminder that the school driveway is closed between 8:30am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 3:15pm.  Please be careful when using the driveway after these hours as we want to keep our children safe. 

ROAD PATOL

We would really appreciate some volunteers to support our students on road patrol in the morning and afternoon.  This allows our teachers to be more available to parents.  Please contact Darian Schulz or the school office if you are able to help on office@maungarakischool.net

SUN HATS

During terms 1 & 4 all students need to have a wide brimmed hat which they can leave at school.  Please make sure it is named.  If your child does not have a sunhat they they will be required to stay in the shade during break times.  Sunscreen is available in class for children to apply during the day.

SCHOLASTIC

We are starting back with Scholastic this year, it is such a great way to get your children excited about reading!  We are now just taking orders online, it's a very easy process and will save you time not having to find the right amount of change. 

The issue 1 booklet has been sent home with your child.  The closing date for orders is the 22nd February 2019.

To order simply go onto the scholastic website:

and follow the instructions.  It is also a nice easy way for you to follow up on your orders.  Please remember to check the closing dates & reminders in the newsletters so you don't miss out.

If you find it a bit tricky to place your first order, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will be happy to help.  Your school earns 20% in Scholastic Rewards on all Book Club orders, it is a great way for us to update books in our library and offer the children a wider range of books to borrow and read.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES

These will now take place every second Friday at 2:15pm.  You are welcome to join us.  The first school assembly will be held on Thursday 14 February due to the School Picnic.

School sweatshirts $45 each or $55 with your name printed on the back
