SWIMMING

Last week we held our school swimming sports for Years 3-8.  It was great seeing the students living the school values as they watched and participated in races, both fun and competitive.  It was also fantastic hearing the new house chants and seeing students in their house colours.

Thanks to the parents and family members who came along to support, and a huge thanks to the teachers and staff for making such a big event run so smoothly!

Please see the attached document for the swimming results.

We're looking forward to hearing how our competitive swimmers go at the zone event in Term 3.

BASKETBALL

The year 7 & 8 Basketball notice is due to go home soon.  Please email the office if you do not receive the notice and your child would like to play.

SPORTING SUCCESS

Jake and Olivia Turner represented Lower Hutt Athletics Club at the Wellington Junior Champs over two days in March.  Jake Placed 2nd in the 10 year old boys High Jump competition jumping 1.25m.

Olivia placed 1st in the overall points for the girls 7th grade; 1st in the discus; 2nd in the shot put; and 3rd in the long jump. Her 4 x 100m relay team also placed first.  This performance follows on from Olivia’s Colgate Games performance in Auckland where she won gold in the shot put and silver in the discus and long jump.

Well done, we are extremely proud of you both.
