HUTT WINTER FESTIVAL - 15-17 AUGUST 2019

Hutt Winter Festival is back for another year to warm up winter for all the whanau!

With fantastic creator workshops running alongside an array of fun dance workshops (where you can fine tune those killer dance floor moves before the 80s party in the evening) Hutt Winter Festival will be the place to be this winter. Highlights of this year's festival include six headliner projects featuring local artists and performers:

Hutt’s Got Talent in association with GoodTime Music Academy
Eco Fashion Runway
Dance with a Stranger
How to Write an Album
Tape Art’s Winter Sculpture
Resene Live Action Mural Painting

Head to http://huttwinterfestival.co.nz/events/ where you can find all the details about the warm up workshops happening around the Hutt at local hubs and community spaces in the lead up to the festival. They are going to be so much fun and many of them are being run by the artists working on special art installations for the final night of the festival, so your involvement in these great workshops can contribute to the finished art pieces, how cool is that aye?!

The three day extravaganza will culminate in a Hutt Winter Festival Party on Saturday 17 August, featuring live music, an interactive labyrinth led by local public artists Tape Art, a rockin' 80s dance party with DJ Danger on the decks, an Art Market curated by The Learning Connection, workshops, face-painting and so much more. Be sure to put 17 August in your diaries, it will be a fun day (and night!) not to be missed.

You can also follow the Hutt Winter Festival on facebook for timely updates and need to know info: https://www.facebook.com/HuttWinterFest/
