MAUNGARAKI ROLLERS

Does your kid like skating (rollerblades or skates), but doesn’t have many options on the hill? Or do they play roller hockey and need somewhere to practice?

Welcome to the brand-spanking new Maungaraki Rollers club.
Where: Maungaraki Hall
When: Sundays 4-5pm. 

Come in for an hour and have some fun on skates!

This is an informal, unincorporated club. This means we come together, book the hall together and rollerblade/skate together, but there are no coaches and participants are responsible for themselves.

If you play Roller Hockey, enjoy skating, or just want to have fun on wheels, come along and roll! Sessions are currently free.

KIWI HOOPS CAMPS

Capital Basketball are excited to announce that Kiwi Hoops Camps are on these school holidays at Walter Nash Stadium in Lower Hutt.

Kiwi Hoops Camps are fun, safe and jam packed with learning and healthy activity for the holidays. Your child will be coached and looked after by professional youth basketball coaches who aim to grow your child’s confidence and competence in sport. These camps cater to first time newbies and seasoned ballers.

Campers will learn:

• Fundamental Movements: teaching the body to move efficiently and skilfully,
• Basketball Skills: learn key skills like shooting, dribbling, passing, 1on1, decision making,
• Life Skills: building traits of great players like communication, resilience, team work.

Dates and Age Groups

• Monday 19 April, Years 3-6
• Tuesday 20 April, Years 3-6
• Wednesday 21 April, Years 1-3 (shorter day)
• Tuesday 27 April, Years 6-8
• Wednesday 28 April, Years 6-8

Warning: Please note that Kiwi Hoops Camps are where kids fall in love with the game. If your child attends, be prepared to become a basketball parent : )

VOLLEYBALL

Tuesday 27-April 2021 - Years 4-6 - Please inquire if your child is younger than year 4 or older than year 6 and would like to attend.  
Learn how to play volleyball with great coaches in a fun relaxed atmosphere!

Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: St Oran's College gym
Cost: $30 per player for camp. PAID IN ADVANCE

Please bring a bag lunch, snack and a water bottle. A light morning tea will be provided.
