Lunch Online

READING IN SCHOOLS

We are looking for parents to support our Reading in Schools programme by coming in and helping one or more mornings a week for an hour.  If you are available please contact the school office on 569 7205 or email office@maungarakischool.net

LUNCH ONLINE

Have you had enough of making school lunches? You can order healthy lunches to be delivered to school on a Wednesday & Friday. Students pick up their lunch from the school office, where it is delivered freshly made. We have Ara Sushi from Kafe Occasion on Wednesday and Pita Pit on Fridays.

To set up your own account and place orders go to www.lunchonline.co.nz. This is not a school service so all orders and payments need to be made on the Lunch Online website.

SCHOOL DONATIONS

Your school donations are critical for us to be able to provide the facilities and quality teaching we all want for our children.  This year our school donation will continue to be $200 for the first child, $180 for the second child, with a maximum amount payable of $380 per family.

Our donation level has not increased since 2008.  This money helps provide many of the extra resources not allowed for in Ministry funding.  Remember donations are tax deductible.

ROAD SAFETY

Thank you to those who have offered to support Road Patrol before and after school. If you are able to help us please let the office know.

We will continue to close the school driveway between 8:30am to 9:00am and 3:00pm to 3:15pm. This is to keep our students and their families safe as it is a very busy time in and around the school.  We do put the bollard up during this time however if it is not in place please do not use the driveway.

We will be placing cones in the top car park (next to the crossing) when this space is required for safe drop off and pick up of children from buses. Buses will be used for swimming, school trips and during the first week of each term for our seniors to attend technology.  If you do see cones put out in this car park please do not park there.

Please also respect the residents around the school by not parking across or too close to driveways, over yellow lines or in positions that may restrict the view of drivers.

Thank you for your support with this.

HOME & SCHOOL

The Home & School meets twice a term, these dates will be in our school newsletter and on our website.  They will have some fun activities and fundraisers planned throughout the year to support the school.  This term they will be selling juicies after school every Friday.  You can purchase Treat Tickets from the school office, which can be used to buy juicies and other treats the Home & School sell.
