Term 2

BANQUER TOWNS

The Koru syndicate have been working hard on their Banqer town models this term. A microsociety has developed in rooms 9 through 11. Mayors have been elected, the chief of police hands out parking fines, and along the way the kids have all managed to purchase a home. They have built their towns from the ground up, starting with an A5 plot of paper each, there are now three towns filled with houses, pets, swimming pools, roller coasters, Zoos, a gondola, clock towers, graveyards, lighthouses... the list goes on. Along the way they happen to have learnt about how to get a mortgage, registering their cars, drawing a plan view of a house, and much much more. The three Banqer towns of Koru have certainly been busy.

If you are interested in helping out then please come along to our meeting at 7:30pm on Monday 29 June in the staffroom or send us an email and we’ll get in touch.  We are also looking for someone to take on the role of Treasurer. ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

We are planning on building a new adventure playground this year.  Next week we will be sending home a quick survey to see what you would like to have included.  Our kids will also be helping to design the new playground.  We hope to have it in by term 4 this year.  Exciting times ahead!
