THANK YOU AFTERNOON TEA

On Monday 2nd December 2019 @ 2:15pm we are holding our annual 'Thank You Afternoon Tea' in the staffroom to say thanks for all the parent and community support this year. Our School could not run without all of the amazing support our parents and community offer.

If you have helped in a classroom, run a sports team, been on a trip, run a small group, come to a working bee or helped us in any way at all, we would love to say thank you to you. Please come along and join us for some christmas cake and a cuppa.

If you do intend on coming, please RSVP to the Office as soon as possible: office@maungarakischool.net

NZ COMMUNITY TRUST

Thank  you to NZ Community Trust for the generous grant of $4, 813.95 to purchase new bike and scooter stands.

2020 CLASS PLACEMENTS

A lot of careful thought has been put into class placements for 2020. Teachers have considered a number of factors when placing the children. Each child has been asked for the names of people they feel they can work with and has been placed with at least one of the students they mentioned. Children will still have opportunities to work and play with children from all classes.

Teachers have been working hard to make the transition to 2020 smooth. Teachers are working with children across the school to start building relationships with the students from their new team. There will be a chance in Week 10 for children to work with their new teacher and class for an hour. There will also be a Pop In Session on Wednesday 5th of February 1-2pm. This is a time where students and their parents can chat to the teacher, drop off their stationery and see their class before they start.
