TOUCH RUGBY

Maungaraki School —

Term 4

The touch season is well underway and all of our teams have been doing an amazing job! It's fantastic to hear about all of our students representing Maungaraki in such a positive and enthusiastic way. Thank you to all of our amazing coaches and managers who have been looking after the teams, and to all parents for supporting them by bringing the players to and from the games and allowing them to stay spectator free.

Here are some of the things the coaches have had to say this season so far:

Maungaraki Mysterious (Yr 3/4) - We have had a great season so far. The kids have played really well and tried their best. In one of our first games, we were up against Ulalei and lost 11-1. Our player of the day was Molly who played Touch for the first time and showed great resilience and team spirit.

Maungaraki Madness (Yr 7/8) - This team is going from strength to strength. After a tough first game, the girls have shown fantastic team spirit, drive, and a thirst for improving their game. A tough game last week (Week 1) 0-12 but the girls played well and had fun. Lots of rain and mud Player of the day was Jessica. Great dummy half, quick to get to the ball which helped the team gain ground.

Maungaraki Magnificent (Yr 1/2) - Week 3 - Great but windy game on Friday - 8-6 to the Our lady of the Rosary team so loads of tries on both sides. Players of the day - Brody and Jackson M.
