SHADE POLES

We have added some new pole covers on the shade sail poles.  We would like to say a massive thank you to the Home & School committee for the $3200 to purchase these.

2021 STRUCTURE

We are starting to plan our school structure for 2021.  To assist us with numbers could you please email the school at office@maungaraki.school.nz if you are leaving Maungaraki school at the end of 2020.  If you have a new entrant due to start school, or know of someone who is due to start in 2021, please complete the online enrolment process which can be found on the school website

2021 WEETBIX TRYATHLON

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6-15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation. Open to Kiwi kids of all sporting abilities the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a fun day out for kids, parents and families. Participants get to swim, cycle (7 years or older), and run their way around age appropriate courses, either as an individual or as part of a team of two. Registrations for the 2021 are open with the Lower Hutt event being held on Wednesday 17th March 2021. Maungaraki School has a school group entry, so when placing your registration please be sure to include the school in your entry. Enter online at https://tryathlon.co.nz/

For the event Maungaraki School will have a marquee which students and parents from the school can use on the day. Parents are responsible for entering their own children into the event and for supervising their own child on the day.

ROOM 15

Unfortunately Kate Shirley has sustained an injury and will not be able to return to work for the remainder of the year. To provide continuity for the classroom Chris McCullough will be teaching Room 15 for the remainder of 2020. Please do send any class emails to chris.mccullough@maungaraki.school.nz.
