BEYOND THE PAGE

An exciting festival for Tamariki - 6th – 21st July 2019

Featuring well known authors, illustrators, and performers, Beyond the Page is a festival brimming with literary adventures for tamariki and their whānau.

Children will have the opportunity to explore their creative side, be inspired by spell-bounding performances, pick up a new skill, and discover a world of possibilities at their local library.

NZ POLICE NEW NON EMERGENCY NUMBER

NZ Police recently launched a new non emergency number, 105. We’ve done this to make it easier to get hold of us in the event of non-urgent situations or ‘Things which have Already Happened’, which don’t require Police assistance immediately.

You can call us on 105 for all non emergencies, or you can go online at 105.police.govt.nz to report things like:

• Lost property
• Theft for a public place or car
• Intentional property damage
• Or to get an update or add info to a previous report

In the event of an emergency, always call 111 - Things that are Happening Now.

ANDREWS MUSIC LESSONS

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Singing and Ukulele lessons are available with music tutor Andrew McPartlin.  Andrew is a professional music tutor with over 20 years of practical teaching experience, he runs inspirational one on one private lessons for maximum learning potential.

Andrew's lessons are held at Maungaraki school, in school time on Tuesday's.  The cost is $99 for nine sessions and a second child from the same family is half price.  Students can start learning with Andrew at any time.

SACRED HEART

Takai is Sacred Heart College in Lower Hutt’s 2019 Young Enterprise Scheme team. We have created sandwich size, beeswax coated, fabric pockets to to eliminate any need for glad wrap and glad bag packaging. Takai is a much more sustainable alternative to the “convenience” of single use plastic packaging’s and is quick and easy to use for all people on the go. Our pockets are 100% recyclable and use locally sourced materials.

Takai Beeswax Pockets go on sale at the beginning of Term 3, Monday 22nd July.  Each pocket is sandwich size (20cmx20cm).  Pockets cost $10 each.

INDOOR TENNIS COACHING

Tern 3 2019 - for children from year 2 to year 8. Places are available in this programme which takes place in the school hall on Tuesdays from 1.00-1.45pm, starting on Tuesday 30 July, 2019 and continuing for 6 consecutive weeks.

The coach will be Mr Gary Nelson, an experienced teacher and qualified tennis coach.  All equipment is provided including rackets. Cost is $50-00 for the block of 6 lessons and should be paid at the first lesson.
