RIP RUGBY FESTIVAL

On Monday we sent a year 3/4 and a year 5/6 team to the Hutt Valley Rip Rugby festival.  Many of our players had never played Rip Rugby before and the tournament was a great chance for them to give it a go.

The year 5/6 team played six games and the year 3/4 team played seven games, so all of the players had alot of chances to show off their skills, score many tries and gain some valuable experience.

The teams were amazing, they were supportive of each other, their opposition and thanked the referees who were supplied by HVHS.  

Thanks to our coaches on the day and and to our wonderful parent support who were there to cheer us on.

CRICKET 

We sent a team of 12 year 5/6 players to play against Eastern Hutt school at Sladden park on Tuesday.  Maungaraki batted first with scoring 68 runs.  The rain held off and EHS batted next scoring 75 runs, before the rain finally caught us, so with an over to go we ended the match.  

This is the first time these boys have played as a team and did the school proud.  We hope to have a re-match against them in term 4.  Thanks to our parent helpers for the transport and support.

BASKETBALL

Basketball notices for term 2 have now been sent out via Signmee.  We appreciate your timely payment of Basketball sports fees. 

SWIMMING

We will be doing school swimming at the end of Term 2. Very soon we will send out a Signmee notice to get some details on the swimming ability of your child. Take some time to consider the questions as these help us to group children appropriately so they get the right level of support from the instructors.

NETBALL

The 2021 Netball season begins in Term 2.  We appreciate payment of your Netball fees before the season begins.
