PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Maungaraki School —

HEART

Tena koe,

With the onset of the winter term, we extend a warm and heartfelt welcome back to all our students, parents, and staff. We are excited to embark on another term of growth, learning, and community building.

At Maungaraki School, our core values, represented by the acronym HEART, lie at the foundation of everything we do:

Hauora (Wellbeing):

The well-being of our students is at the heart of our mission. As we embrace the challenges and opportunities of Term 3, we are committed to nurturing the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of each student. By providing a supportive and caring environment, we aim to help every child thrive and reach their full potential.

Engaged:

Engaging our students in meaningful and stimulating learning experiences is essential to fostering a love for education. With passionate and dedicated teachers, we strive to ignite the spark of curiosity in each young mind, making learning an exciting and enriching journey.

Active:

An active body and an active mind go hand in hand. As we venture into the winter season, we encourage our students to stay physically active, participating in sports, outdoor activities, and exercise. An active lifestyle not only promotes physical health but also enhances focus and mental well-being.

Relationships:

The Maungaraki School community is a tightly-knit family, where strong relationships are cherished. We believe that a supportive and inclusive school environment creates a positive atmosphere for learning and growth. Our students, parents, teachers, and staff work collaboratively, respecting each other's unique perspectives.

Teamwork:

Together, we achieve more. As we commence the construction of our new class building, we exemplify the power of teamwork. We unite as a community, understanding the importance of working harmoniously to achieve our common goals. This project reflects our collective commitment to providing the best possible learning spaces for our students.

We extend our appreciation to our incredible school community and families for your continued support in the values we hold dear.

With HEARTfelt gratitude and warm wishes,

Ngā Mihi Nui,
Shane Robinson
