BASKETBALL

Basketball is also underway with all 9 teams having started the season. We are into the third round of games and it is great seeing the students out on court having fun and representing their school with pride!

Our two Year 1 & 2 teams have had some very close games and it is fantastic to see so many new kids to the game giving it a go.

Our three Year 3 & 4 teams have had some mixed results with some stand out  performances.

The two Year 5 & 6 teams have started their season well and are undefeated at this stage, but there are tough opponents to come.

Lastly our two Year 7 & 8 teams have come up against stiff opposition.  This term both teams have been placed in the same pool, so we will see who comes out on top in the derby game.

A big thank you to the coaches/managers for all their help running these teams, we couldn't do it without you!

Check out the Hutt Valley Basketball website for details on game times or check in with your team manager.

NETBALL

Well done to all of our year 5 & 6 teams who played in the cold and rain on Monday afternoon.  The school sweatshirts were great to play in to keep the players warm.

Our year 7 & 8 teams both had good wins in their respective grades:

Maungaraki Matrix winning 12-8
Maungaraki Mustangs winning 10-8
