Maungaraki School —

Term 3

Kia ora,

I hope you have all been keeping warm and dry over the last few weeks. It certainly has been a rough patch of weather. The horrible weather has made it challenging at school, particularly with progress on our building project.

We have noticed much better levels of wellness in our students and staff following the holiday break. Please continue to monitor illness and keep children away if they are feeling unwell. We will continue to encourage mask wearing for the next fortnight as we navigate the range of winter bugs around.

At Maungaraki School we are in the process of reviewing our school's charter and strategic plan. We want to make sure we hear from as many people as possible with an interest in our school. Our school has been changing rapidly. We have students and families from a diverse range of backgrounds and it is important that our school charter and strategic aims reflect the needs of our current students and community. To do this, we need you to take a few moments to answer a short survey and share your aspirations and vision for our children and school.

This survey is confidential and takes between 5-10 minutes to complete. It seeks feedback on the school in general, your child's reports, values and skills for curriculum development, and the school vision. If you completed this survey during parent-teacher conferences last week, we have your response recorded and you do not need to complete it again.

Please note that no personally identifiable information will be reported and your responses will be combined with others and summarised.

Thank you in advance for your time on this. Your thoughts and ideas are important to us as we plan for the future.
