Home & School Fundraising

We are looking forward to another hot summer up here on the hill.  Our next lot of fundraising is for some Shade Sails for the new hard surfaces area.  Here are the events planned:

Disco:
The 'Hollywood' Disco is on Friday 9 August. Come along as a movie star or your favourite Hollywood movie character for some dancing and fun.

The disco for years 0 - 3 is from 6:00pm to 6:45pm.  For years 4 - 8 is from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Entry is $5 per child or $10 per family which is payable on entry.  Remember some gold coins for the food and treat table.  Please make sure you pick your child up promptly at the end of their disco.

Chocolate Fundraiser:
On Friday 16 August we are starting our Whittaker’s chocolate fundraiser. One box of Whittaker’s chocolate bars will be given to the eldest child in each family to take home. The fundraising will run for two weeks, if you sell your box and need more let the office know.  Lots of people find that taking a box of chocolate into their workplace has good results. More information will be attached to the box of chocolates and a Signmee notice will be sent out to families.

We have lots of prizes.  $100 pizza voucher for the class that sells the most chocolates.  And go in the draw to win one of 2 Smart Bracelets, an Amazon Fire 7inch Tablet and a JBL GO Portable Bluetooth Speaker.

Parents meet & greet:
On Wednesday 4 September, from 9am to 10am, we are holding our first Parent’s Meet and Greet at Benedict’s. We would love parents to get to know each other so thought that a casual get together at Benedict’s every now and again would be good. No need to RSVP, just come along and catch up with some Home and School members and Mr Robinson!

Mark Friday 1 November in your calendar for a parent’s Casino Royale Ball. There will be more details closer to the time.

BOOK CLUB

Issues 5 is closing tomorrow, Friday 9 August.  Please place your order online if you wish to order books from this issue.

ROAD SAFETY

We sometimes see concerning behaviour from drivers around the school at drop off and pick up times. Please take care when parking and respect our school neighbours by not blocking driveways.  We appreciate your help with this

We have closed the school driveway in the morning from 8:25am - 9:25am and from 2:55pm to 3:15pm in the afternoon to help with safety around the school.
