CROSS FIT

Charlie Edhouse, a superstar in her own right. Remember this name as an up and coming star to the Crossfit world. She was best in NZ and 2nd in the world at a recent online competition competing in the Female Bear Cub Scaled division for 10 – 12 year olds.

Charlie has been involved in Crossfit down at Crossfit 5011 in Waterloo for the last 3 to 4 years. She has started competing recently and with dedication, beat out some stiff competition in her age group. She trains twice a week with her brother and is a committed sports person investing in touch rugby and gymnastics. When I talked to Charlie she said, “It's a great way to stay fit and strong”.

Nō reira kia kaha ra. Be your best!

NETBALL

Mia Tuapawa-Spooner recently trialled for the Hutt Valley Year 8 Player Development programme.  Players across the Hutt Valley are nominated to attend the trials and a group of players are then selected to join the programme.

We are delighted that Mia has been successful in making the final squad, ka mau te wehi!  She will now attend several development sessions before wrapping up the programme with a tournament day in June.

Mia is excited to be in the squad and has enjoyed meeting players from other schools.  She is especially looking forward to the tournament at the end of the programme where teams play each other over the day.  All the best Mia!

We continue to be impressed with the efforts our students are putting in, we are so proud when they shine.
