PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

Maungaraki School —

End of Term 3

Kia ora e te whānau.

Term 3 is coming to an end and with the Governments announcement on Monday that we are now in Level 1 we are looking forward to term 4 with optimism. We are especially excited to have families back on site and in classrooms before and after school.  Please do feel free to pop in and see teachers and classrooms as normal, however we do recommend that you sign in using the tracing app at the gate.

We are really excited about the possibility of term 4, the calendar is full to the brim. We are planning sporting and cultural events with the hope of all being back together and celebrating the children together. Our aim for term 4 is for each syndicate to host an event on site to celebrate an element of our learning.

As we head into the holidays it is a good time for us to thank some key people who have assisted our school during the year. These contributions and your support have assisted the school in providing a safe learning environment where wellbeing has been a focus.

Thank you to all of the parents and families who have dropped by with treats and messages of support for the staff over the term. These have been well received by our very grateful staff. Your words of support and generosity is much appreciated.

Thank you to Nigel & Beth from Countdown Lower Hutt who donated a large supply of hand sanitiser to keep our children safe. This has been well used and came at a time when it was much needed.

Thank you to Kirsten & Marcus from New World Metro who have contributed donation towards our staff and a wonderful garden for our junior playground. The garden is set up and ready to go with classrooms growing seedlings. More pictures and updates from this will be in upcoming newsletters.

An extra special thank you to all of our families who have supported us through donations during this challenging time. We are aware of the strain that families have been under during this time thank you for your continued support.

We look forward to seeing you all back next term.
