SUPPORTING OUR TEENS / PRETEENS

We are holding a community event at the Maungaraki Baptist church regarding supporting our Teens and Preteens mental and emotinal health.

Our hope/intention for this is to equip us as parents, and as a wider community with understanding and tools to support our young people. 

It will be held on Wednesday 21st November from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at Maungaraki Baptist Church, 164 Dowse Drive, Maungaraki.  See the attached poster for more details.

PARENTING TOOLBOX

Check out the attached poster for details on our Term 4 parenting courses. The cost for each course is $75 per person or $110 per couple. If you are unable to contribute in any way contact the facilitator to discuss.

MAUNGARAKI PLAYCENTRE QUIZ NIGHT

It's quiz time! Join us for a fun night out at Speight's Ale House, Petone, in support of Maungaraki Playcentre.

Get your team of 6-8 together or register as an individual.  Entry is $15 per person (pay at the door) which includes nibbles and entertainment.

Be sure to bring some loose change and be in to win fantastic prizes in our spot raffle.  Prizes include a night for two at the QT Museum (Hotel) Wellington and vouchers from Golf Warehouse, Mexico restaurant, Laughlots and more!

KULA KIDS YOGA

Kula Kids Yoga classes improve strength, flexibility and balance. They teach important mindfulness practices to improve concentration and reduce anxiety and stress. KUNG FU CLASS

Classes are for all ages and are held Saturdays from 10:00am to 10:30am at Randwick School. This is a perfect opportunity for youngsters to develop self-control and communal awareness.

JUMBLE SALE

There is a fundraising garage and jumble sale at St Aidan’s on the Hill on Saturday 3 November 2018 between 9:00am and noon. St Aidan’s is on the corner of Poto Road and Stratton Street in Normandale. There will be heaps of white elephant bargains, yummy homemade cakes & sweets and jams & preserves, a great selection of plants, loads of books, a sausage sizzle and more!!
