GOODTIME MUSIC ACADEMY

Hello to our amazing Goodtime Music Academy community! We have a really big request and would love to know if you could all help.

So.. The Goodtime Foundation is in serious need of funding! It has been an extremely tough time for us here during Covid, with funding becoming very hard to come by, especially due to the realities of a lot of our big donors being hit hard by the Covid lockdown.

A little bit about the Foundation first! Every week we drive to low decile primary schools in the Wellington/Hutt Valley region and collect disadvantaged students that have been handpicked by their principals to receive a free music scholarship under the Goodtime Foundation.

Our fantastic kids whom we teach need your help. It is our struggling communities that really need a helping hand at the moment, and the great news is, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to directly make a positive impact on children's lives!

We need 250 people to pledge $25 per month for 12 months to contribute to our basic expenses for one financial year. However any amount big or small is appreciated, as a small one off donation helps immensely. If you yourselves are unable to make a financial donation, simply like our Facebook page. Sharing the page/posts would be appreciated.

MUSIC ACADEMY KEYBOARD LESSONS

Your child can learn how to play the keyboard at this school.  The lessons are run during school hours and all ages are welcome!

The Wellington Music Academy has been providing music lessons in the Wellington region for over 27 years. Our experienced and enthusiastic teachers will ensure all lessons are fun and appropriate for your child's level of musical development. ACTIVE IN THE HUTT

My team at council, ‘Active in the Hutt’ have created a resource for whanau called ‘Active in the Hutt 30’ – 30 ideas to encourage residents to get active across our city!

We are currently running a social media campaign on the Hutt City Council Facebook Page encouraging people to share their adventures & tag us - #Activeinthehutt30

WELLINGTON MARATHON 2020 - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Heart Foundation is the official charity partner for the Wellington Marathon again for 2020. As part of this partnership we provide volunteers to work at the event, to raise money for the Heart Foundation Wellington Branch. We would love to have you join our volunteer team for this event. For 2020 we have the following opportunities:

Saturday 29 August: Race Registration, Gazley Volkswagon, Kent Terrace, Wellington

We will be registering all runners ahead of race day and handing out numbers. This role requires a high level of concentration and accuracy!

Full Day: 8.30am – 6.00pm includes lunch provided
Half Day: 8.30am – 1.30pm
Half Day: 1.00pm – 6.00pm

Sunday 30 August: Event Day, Sky Stadium

Jobs are a mixture of working in the recovery area (handing out drinks/fruit etc after the finish line, general support etc) and bag check area

Shift 1: 6.00am – 12.00pm
Shift 2: 7.00am – 1.00pm
Shift 3: 9.00am – 3.00pm
