PRINCIPAL AWARDS

Maungaraki School —

Award winners from Friday 10 May

Congratulations to the following students who won a Principal's Award at our assembly on Friday.

Room 1: Sam Cooper - for the amazing effort he has put into his learning.  Sam, you have a positive attitude to challenges and have worked hard to overcome them.

Room 2: Katherine Brown - for her positive attitude and for caring for all members of the class.

Room 3: Harper Edhouse - for showing persistence in your maths when learning new strategies. You are showing great determination and a positive attitude towards practising these new skills! Ka pai-keep up the fantastic work!

Room 4 & 5: 

Leigh Kells - For the amazingly positive attitude, motivation and enthusiasm you are bringing to your learning. Ka rawe, keep it up!!

Jake Sarginson - For stepping in to your role as a leader. From running training for younger students, speaking in front of others and putting great effort into your learning, we are loving it!

Room 6:  Alistair Dong - for extreme motivation in writing.  Consistently writing top-quality stories at speeds of up to 23 words per minute!

Room 7: Aaron Fourie- for carefully selecting WOW words to add detail to your writing.  Tino pai, keep it up!!

Room 8: Seth Burgess - for making great progress with his reading. 

Room 9: Kerala Beard - for going out of your comfort zone and trying new things! Great growth mindset! 

Room 10: Maya Tasi - for great enthusiasm with your maths. You are working extremely hard to understand the strategies you are learning. Keep it up.

Room 11: Ibrahim Altinkaya - for taking responsibility for your mathematics learning by seeking help when you need it and asking great questions! We love your commitment to your learning!

 Room 12: Storm King - for showing fantastic dedication to your learning and challenging yourself. What a great start to Term 2!

Room 14: Hunter Komarkowski - for making good choices and being kind and persisting with your writing.  You are writing so many words and forming letters well. Tino pai!

Room 15: Caleb Driscoll- for having a great start to school. Each day you show more confidence in the classroom and out in the playground
