NETBALL

Congratulations to all Netball players who participated for Maungaraki School in Terms two and three. We had two Year 5/6 teams and two Year 7/8 teams in 2023 and all players did Maungaraki School proud.

A special mention to both of our Y7/8 teams! The Maungaraki Marvels were joint winners of Round 2 - Section 13. On top of that, the Maungaraki Mustangs were the sole winners of Round 2 - Section 4, ending the season with a 24 - 10 win over Chilton 1. They had a league best 117 goals scored at a goal difference of 42 goals.

A huge thanks to all of the coaches and managers for organising teams this winter, your work does not go unnoticed. Thank you to parents and whānau for supporting the amazing tamariki, regardless of the weather.

INTERZONE SWIMMING

We are thrilled to share our recent participation in the Inter Zone Swimming Competition held at Huia Pool. Our fantastic group of students represented Maungaraki School with pride and passion, demonstrating not only their exceptional swimming skills but also their commitment to our school's HEART values.

All of our students performed remarkably well, showcasing their determination in the pool. Their sportsmanship and respect for fellow competitors were truly exceptional. We couldn't be prouder of their conduct throughout the event, upholding the values that are at the core of Maungaraki School.

Some of our students achieved remarkable success at the competition. Their hard work and perseverance paid off, earning them well-deserved victories.

Touch teams for Term 4 are are in the process of being sorted. All players will require an orange tshirt. These can be ordered from our school clothing supplier via the link on our website and generally take about a week to be delivered.
