Maungaraki School — February 23, 2025
Engaged and flying
Kia ora,
We had so many smiling faces at our recent Meet the Teacher Night. It was wonderful to see so many families exploring the school, meeting with teachers, and getting a closer look at the exciting year ahead. The positive energy in the classrooms was palpable, and it’s always so rewarding to see parents and whānau so engaged with their children’s learning. We feel very fortunate to have such a supportive and engaged community. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening such a success!
Our classroom programmes are now well and truly up and running, and we are thrilled with the fantastic work our tamariki are doing. Our students are diving into a variety of exciting learning experiences and it’s inspiring to see their passion and enthusiasm for their mahi. We are so proud of how well they have settled into the year, are displaying the HEART values and are engaging with the curriculum. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds.
We need some support from our community at the moment to support our wonderful school community. The Home and School team plays a vital role in supporting our school, from organising fundraising events to helping with school activities. The work that is done in this area provides our place with some incredible opportunities and resources. We’d love to have more whānau and community members involved in these efforts to create even more opportunities for our tamariki. Whether you can lend a hand at events or help in other ways, your support makes a big difference. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out – we’d love to have you on board.
Together, we can make this year an amazing one for our students! Thank you for your ongoing support.
Ngā Mihi Nui,
Shane Robinson
