Movin' March

This year Maungaraki School is participating in Movin' March. This is a fantastic initiative run by the Greater Wellington Regional Council. The aim is to encourage getting to school in a sustainable way - walking, biking, scootering and bussing to school. 

We have some amazing spot prizes this year, some new prizes including socks as well as old favourites including pencils and bracelets.

We will be out stamping passports in the morning from 8:20. While the cards say a stamp to and from school we are unable to stamp after school, so will just stamp cards in the morning outside the library. Look out for our helpers who will be wearing hi-vis vests. If your child is missing that morning's stamp, they can come to Rm 13 to have their daily stamp. 

Cards will be handed out at the end of February, with the first stamp on the 3rd of March. Completed cards will be entered into the main Wellington prize draw, with 5 micro scooters and helmets up for grabs this year. If the cards are not finished by the end of March, they can still be entered into the prize draw, but remember to put your child's name and school on the back of the card.
