Parking around schools
As we navigate the busy school term, I’d like to take a moment to address a few important matters regarding our school car park and the safety of our students.
Our drop-off and pick-up zones in the new carpark are crucial for ensuring smooth traffic flow and, most importantly, the safety of our tamariki. I want to remind everyone that the drop-off zone is specifically designated for quick drop-offs only - between 8:30am and 9:00am. Please refrain from using this area as a parking space. By keeping this zone clear for its intended purpose, we can help maintain an efficient and safe environment for all.
In addition to our school guidelines, I encourage everyone to be mindful of the Hutt City Council’s parking reminders, these are outlined in the following brochure.
Your cooperation in following these guidelines helps keep our school community safe and supports the smooth operation of our car park and surrounding streets. We appreciate your help in these matters and your continued efforts in making Maungaraki School a safe place for our students.
