PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

End of Term 3

Kia ora koutou,

I hope you are well. It has been an amazing term with so many incredible things happening at our kura.

Our new three-classroom block has officially opened. We held a beautiful blessing ceremony on Monday morning, led by Neavin Broughton and Andrea Spink from Kura Ahurea. Their guidance made the occasion truly special. The Kapa Haka ropu also graced us with a stunning waiata, adding to the event. The new space looks fantastic and is set to become our Waihanga space in Term 4. We can’t wait to get everyone in the space and enjoying it.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful milestone for our school community. This has been a long time in the planning with an incredible amount of work from the Board of Trustees and Staff. Thank you for your patience during this process.

A huge thank you to everyone for your efforts in bringing our school production to life! Last week's shows were simply brilliant. The children sang and danced their hearts out. Their hard work over the past term (and beyond) truly paid off during our two unforgettable show days. The joy radiating from both the stage and the audience is something our tamariki will remember for a long time to come.

It was a delight to witness the smiles and excitement, show after show. The commitment and passion poured into this production were evident in every moment—from the costumes and scriptwriting to the choreography and prop making.

This event was a true team effort, thank you especially to our hard working staff for putting our tamariki first. We are so fortunate to have such an incredible team at Maungaraki School! I heard countless glowing comments from attendees about the show and the amazing effort.

Take care over the break, we look forward to seeing you all back rested and ready for a fantastic Term 4.

Ngā mihi,
Shane Robinson
