Home and School Update
Swings are ordered!
We had a successful meeting on Tuesday this week where we finalised which swing quote to go with. There are still a few details to be decided such as location and how much of the installation we will do ourselves but it feels great to be able to tell the kids it is finally happening. More great news received lately is that Foodstuffs will donate a further $5,000 towards our swings! Thank you so much Sarah Cudmore for applying for this.
We also discussed a number of social events we would like to plan for the remainder of the year as we feel this is an important role that Home and School plays in making all parents feel welcome and part of our Mayfield School family. Watch this space for more details as we finalise them!
There are a few more fundraising events coming up with a mushroom compost sale in September and cheese rolls to be made. We will need help on September 19th with bagging this compost up. We will also get the Agri Kids out on farm to help with this at Sally and James Carr's - 211 Mayfield Lismore Road. Please keep your meal bags for us if you are rearing calves as they are the perfect size. We will have two collection days on 21st and 28th September where we will also need parent help to lift bags and manage the pickups.
Attached are some photos from our Netherby Four Square Electronic Ticketing fundraiser which was a fun night out doing something completely different from our normal lives. We will all now notice which supermarkets have which ticket system for the rest of our lives.
Next meeting date is 22nd October at 3pm in the staff room. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as can make it. Together we are making a meaningful improvement to our children's school experience so come along and see how you can help.
