Kia ora! We have been very busy in TPR this term! Here are some of the things we have been learning about:

• PE- Swimming and teamwork/co-operation games.

• Art- Self portraits and making mice and drawing dogs for the Mayfield Show.

• Writing- Recount writing and description writing.

• Maths- Practicing days of the week and months of the year. We have been exploring numbers and discussing where we can see Maths in different settings. We have begun exploring the Numicon resources which will help us to add and subtract more confidently.

• Reading- Each day we do reading rotations. One of the rotations is to work with the teacher. In these sessions, we do a range of learning like practice letter sounds, write words and dictated sentences and read our weekly story.

• Topic- We are looking forward to next week when we will begin our work about caring for the Mayfield River and the riverbed.
