At the last School Board meeting the School Board elected Valeska Scott to the Presiding member role. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome her into the Presiding Member role and wish her all the best. I know, as a community, you will all support her . I would also like to thank the board for their support to me over the last 2 years, as the Presiding Member. It has been an enjoyable journey, however I have decided it is time to step away from the board and will look to step down from it later this year. This will leave a vacant position that will need to be filled - ether by an appointment or a by election. There is also a current 5th position that is vacant that needs to be filled and there will be elections in September for 3 positions. The board will need some new people on it due to retirements. There is a lot of new families in the school, which is fantastic. We now need some of you come forward and stand for the board, as Mayfield School is your school. Being on the board gives you the opportunity to give guidance on the direction the school goes. If you are interested, please reach out and talk with Emma, Maryn or one of our board members.
