Hi families! 

Now I've got a break from my headless chicken act of this morning I can update you on what's been happening with Home and School!

We will be catering a dinner for the Eagles Golf group on Thursday night at the Mayfield golf club. If anyone has done one of these dinners before you know what work goes into the meal planning, preparation and serving on the night. The goal is always to serve delicious home cooked food, keep costs as low as we can and have a great night. 

We have been very fortunate for this catering job to have Dean and Aman from Produce Pals in Tinwald supply all the produce needed and New World Ashburton donate a voucher towards the rest of the ingredients. This along with the generous donations from families at school has meant that there will be very little cost for this fundraiser which means we have more to keep giving back to the school. Im sure the above businesses would love our support in return so please visit them when you can. 

A big shout out to Belinda Waddell, Charlotte Connolly and Jane New for volunteering to help on the night. And another big thanks to Victoria Morrow, Maryn Austin, Bridget Fielder and Rebecca Whillans for being the dessert masters whipping up cakes to serve. Many hands make light work with these things and parents can help as little or as much as they want.

We are always on the hunt for fundraising ideas so if you know if anyone needing catering we offer this for $30-$40 per head depending on the occasion and requirements. Please contact Eden Crowley on 0275656046. 

We are in the process of pricing up some options for swings at school as it was an overwhelming request from the kids. We will also be funding a sausage per child at the Opuke Festival next week in Rakaia. Sometimes it's small things and sometimes it's big things we do but I like to think it all makes school a little bit better.
