A Big Success

Yesterday, we hosted our school speech competition in the Westerfield room. The junior speeches were judged by Glenys Donnelly and Daralyn Foy, while the Mayfield Lions took on the role of judging the senior speeches. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of them for their time and expertise.

Congratulations to all tamariki who participated—your hard work and courage was truly impressive. Thank you to all the teachers for their invaluable support in preparing the children. A special note of appreciation goes to Mrs. Austin for her meticulous work in printing the certificates, wrapping the prizes, and ensuring the room was perfectly set up, well-presented, and organised.

Looking ahead, our interschool speech competition against Mt Somers Springburn is scheduled for Tuesday, the 27th, at 11 am in the Westerfield room. Our Year 5 & 6, and Year 7 & 8 place getters will compete in this section. We wish them all the very best.
