3 weeks to go . . .
Camp is now only 3 weeks and 3 days away . . .
This was a special week because we had a visit from a couple of Crusaders on Thursday - Joe Moody and George Bridge. Some of our senior girls and boys from Mahuta got to play a game on the back field with them and get spot prizes.
Before that we all met with them in the hall and they shared some of their experiences as a rugby player. Students got to ask questions. My personal favourite questions were the boy who asked 'Do you know my dad?' and 'Have you ever lost a game on purpose?'
Shining Stars Wk 7: Kelly and Penny
Kelly demonstrated her Whanaungatanga by spending time teaching another student how to play Connect Four and spending time with her.
Penny has completed over 12 hours of IXL in the last 4 weeks! That's a heap of Ako :)
Camp Update:
We have permission slips from all but one of the students and adults going to camp. We will have almost all pupils attending which is exciting. There will be some parent forms for helpers to fill out next week, otherwise we've completed the relevant permission slips. Thanks everyone.
Reminders
Stationery: Keep working on updating the missing items. We are continuing to focus on students with missing books, headphones and timepieces.
Devices: Some students are forgetting to bring their devices or they are turning up with them low on charge. We do not have enough school devices to cover these numbers. Please check to make sure the devices are being charged daily AND going into the schoolbags each morning.
Upcoming Dates:
CAT Exam: Tuesday 21 March (Hall). Any students involved have received a letter.
Friday 24 March: Wacky Tacky Mufti Day (gold coin donation for STAR week). Go Wild!!
Thanks,
Shane, Lisa, Cilla, Louisa and Makaila.
