Kia ora Koutou,

We have had a great week looking at sound through The Howler experiment.  It is great to see the children growing in confidence with the Scientific Procedure. 

The Book Character Dress Up Day was good fun, we saw some amazing costumes. Check out the Pataitai/Mahuta Publication to view some of the costumes and other articles about our learning.

Below are a few reminders for Week 4.

Middle Stars Team Day - On Wednesday 17 August, the Middle Stars teachers are out of the classroom for the day. 

Head Lice - We have sent a notice home informing whānau of head lice in the Pataitai Pod. Please make sure you check their hair and treat if you notice eggs or lice.

ICAS Maths - Children that are sitting this exam will do so on Tuesday 16 August at 9am.

SPCA Cupcake Day - Bring $2 on Tuesday 16 August and buy a cupcake to support the SPCA. You can purchase these before school from 8am.

1.5L Bottles - Keep these coming in please. We will be using these in a few weeks.

Lost Property - We are accumulating quite a  bit of lost property at the moment and have noticed some belongings are not named. Please encourage children to check they have everything before they leave at the end of the day.
