SwimSafe Lessons

Currently, the students have been demonstrating swimming skills to support the water safety programme. From Wednesday, students will be involved in the water safety programme. There will be a session where the students will be asked to bring in clothes that they can swim in.

Congratulations

- We wish to acknowledge and congratulate our inspiring and supportive team leader, colleague and teacher Miss (Urmi) Shah on her appointment at Rawhiti School. Miss Shah has been at Merrin for 10 years and has taught in various year groups. She will be missed by her colleagues and peers. All the best with your role as team leader at Rawhiti School Urmi, they are lucky to have an effective leader join their school.

- Chloe Tapp placed 1st in the Bishopdale Rotary Speech Competition. Chloe spoke confidently and had the audience engaged the entire time.

Mahuta and Tuakana Whetu Market Day

Don't miss out on the best craft fair of 2017! There will be tons of things to buy! The craft fair will be held on Thursday 2nd November from 1:30pm - 2:30pm.

We would very much appreciate it if your child brought gold and silver coins only.

Some things that will be sold are baking, lolly jars, stationery holders and much much more!

Change of Date

In the newsletter that came home with the children, it states that we will be attending the Cinema on Thursday 14th December. This is incorrect and the correct date is Wednesday 13th December.

School Photos

These will be taking place next Monday and Tuesday.

Athletics

Sprint heats will be held next Monday, 30 October, afternoon from 1pm and our school event next Friday, 3 November.
