The PTA have recently funded trolleys for our math learning spaces - and what a difference they have made!

Classrooms are changing and learning spaces are emerging so children can explore math equipment, interact with ideas, make connections with others, work on goals, and share reflections.  The children have really enjoyed being able to use equipment to help them sort their ideas, develop their thinking, show their learning and explain their strategies to others. One Year 4 student (boy) suggested devices were not as helpful as equipment when it came to helping him learn maths - imagine that! 

These math trolleys store, organise and provide a tidy and respectful way to access the equipment all children need. It helps them to think of new equipment to use in different ways. Students are taught how to use the equipment to help them learn their own goals in maths, supporting a community of thinkers, learners and self managers. The trolleys look fabulous and are on wheels so they can be moved around with ease. No more hunting in the cupboards for the things we need, to help our students learn. It is all ready to go and looks fabulous.
