In 2018 Merrin students discovered the amazing music from 'Peter and the Wolf' during their music class. They loved it. In July you have the opportunity to hear it live here in Christchurch.

This classic musical tale remains one of history's most beloved adventures. Peter and the Wolf is a 'symphonic fairy tale for children' that introduces listeners to classical music and helps them to recognise the distinct sounds produced by various instruments of the orchestra.

Presented in the CSO's Ron Ball Studios, the orchestra will perform two concerts in English, two in Te Reo Māori, and two relaxed-style performances for audiences with auditory sensitivities and special needs.

Ideal for young children, this intimate and relaxed setting is perfect for introducing your wee ones to live orchestral music with opportunities to mingle with the musicians and try out instruments.
