The New Zealand Principals' Federation - Ngā Tumuaki o Aotearoa is holding their annual conference in Christchurch for 2022, and our Year 3/4 students are writing letters!

From the 14-16th of September, many tumuaki and others within the education industry are coming together in Christchurch for the first time since 2008. 

Our Year 3/4 tamariki are grateful to have been offered the opportunity to write letters to our lovely visitors! We asked them to introduce themselves, as well as share what they love about Merrin School - Ngā Whetu Kohara and Christchurch. It was fantastic to hear how eager the tamariki were to share what they are passionate about, and what they enjoy about our community. 

This small, but important task was also a great opportunity to practise our letter writing. We had to focus on how it was structured and that our writing was kind to the person reading it, all coming together to create 5 star work!
