The students had a fantastic day Ferrymead today. Look out for our article about what the students got up to. Here are a few reminders for next week.

Tomorrow it is a Teacher Only Day. The teachers will be spending the day with the rest of our Cluster Schools on Professional Development. Please also note that Monday 6th June is Queen's Birthday so school will be closed on this day as well.

Speeches and Plays. Next week we will begin to look at our speeches. Some children will be presenting a speech this term, while others will be sharing a Play. We have two speech topics for them to begin thinking about. They are:

1. Animals should be kept in the zoo.

2. Video games promote violence.

The speeches will be written as a persuasive speech to give their opinion. We will begin working on the speeches in Week 6. These will be presented to the Pataitai Pod in Week 9.
