It was "Touch 'n' Go".....
But the Merrin Mad Dogs held on to earn this seasons bragging rights after winning their grade in the Nunweek Touch Competition.
The Mad Dogs were our Year 4 team in the Year 3/4 Social Section 2. After a slowish start to the season, the Mad Dogs got their groove on and began their ascent to the top of the table. By the third to last game of the season they had only won or drawn. In this game they suffered their only defeat of the season, but this only worked to strengthen their resolve for the following week.
The final was a very closely fought game with our team holding on for a 6-4 win against the Paparoa Untouchables. Fantastic effort Mad Dogs!
Congratulations to our winning Mad Dogs -
Penelope Yang, Ella Ross, Charlotte Carey, Aaliyah Whiu-Bennett, Cameron Brown, Thomas Owens, Dion Stringer-Allan, Jack Guillemot, Ben Bayley, and Justin Cobb.
Special thanks to our coaches and manager - Kevin, Bevan and Nina.
(That's Cameron's older brother for 'photo bombing' the team in the photo above.)
