48hour Film Festival
Last weekend a group of Merrin Senior School film enthusiasts entered the 48hour Film Festival.
The 48hour Film Festival is a nationwide competition involving film makers of different ages and film making experience levels.
Under the patient guidance of parent George Bayley, the team consisting of Ben Bayley, Victoria Uriostegui-Cordero, Alex Bett, EJ Gonzaga, Mia Dunnage and Mikayla Dai spent the weekend writing, filming and editing their entry.
The team did not know the genre of their movie until the Friday night and were also given some surprise elements to include in their movie including a shadow, slamming door and a puddle. The genre of the movie was 'a heist'.
With Ben Bayley as Director the team completed their filming mission meeting their 7pm Sunday deadline with an hour to spare.
Their film will be screened, alongside other school entries, at the Christchurch Art Gallery on 25th May from 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
