14 Guangzhao students from the south of China visit Merrin School during the first week of Term 1, 2015.

During week 1 of this term 14 Chinese students visited Merrin School as "Cultural Visitors," to be part of the "English Experience Camp." While they were here the students attended ESOL classes at Merrin, visited the Antarctic Centre, experienced an outdoor class through the CCC Learning Through Action Programme, tried their hand at a Kiwi BBQ and visited many of Christchurch's more popular tourist attractions. The students were home-stayed by different Merrin families and a big thank you goes to those parents who hosted these students so warmly. The students fedback to us that they had had an amazing time during the week and many were obviously quite upset to be leaving their home-stay families and Merrin School.
