How we learn in the Pataitai Pod

Tania Gallagher —

Thank you to the families who came to our evening on Thursday night. Here is the video that we shared with you on 'How we learn'.

We also talked about how you can support your child with their learning.

At Home: IXL should be practiced at home each night for 15 - 20 minutes. We support this learning by having time in class to work on IXL as well. Reading Books should read at home every night. To support your child ask questions about the story and what they think may happen next. On a Friday we ask that the books come back to school. All books should be stored in a reading folder to protect them going from school to home.

How we keep in touch: Each week we share what is happening through the Newsletter and publications on our website as well as emails and paper reminders.

Reporting to parents: Year 4 students will receive an Interim Report at the end of Term 2 and a Full Report at the end of Term 4. These are the requirements from the Ministry of Education.
