ESOL Year 3 Group Study the Biggest Animal Ever!

David Zehms —

The largest animal ever . . .  is the blue whale.

Yes, it's not a huge dinosaur from the past. Mr. Zehms’ Year 3 group has been learning about blue whales. We now know that blue whales live in groups called pods. They eat very small animals called krill. Blue whales can grow very long, usually between 21 and 24 metres, but the longest one was 32 metres! Check out our photo. That’s Takuto, Coco, Matthew and Seika standing at different ends of our football field. We marked off our 32 metres to show where the head and tail would be.
