We had a fantastic day at Burnside Park yesterday for our Cross Country, and it was lovely to welcome our whānau back to school events. Our tamariki were not only shining stars in their running races but the way they encouraged and supported each other to try their best!

It was lovely to see the sun shining yesterday as we haven't been so lucky with the weather in the past!

There were some speedy runners yesterday, and we could tell some children had been training so well done. We are proud of all our tamariki for participating, though, as we know that running isn't everyone's favourite thing to do.

A special congratulations to the following children who came first in the year group.

Year 1 - Samuel and Iris

Year 2 - Andy and Lainey-Rose

Year 3 - Luke and Katelyn

Year 4 - Liam and Xanthe

Year 5 - Zac and Sophie

Year 6 - Josh and Emma

Year 7 - Seif and Mia

Year 8 - Ryan and Sophie

Those children that came in the top 6 will have the opportunity to compete at another event this term. Please keep an eye out for a notice that will come out on Hero in the next few days. It would be great for your child/children to keep up the training!
