Literacy

Our literacy programme of writing, reading and oral language are underway! The focus in writing has been on descriptive text and inspiration has been found using the website "Literacy Shed". During Reading, the groups have been spending time with the teacher developing positive attitudes towards reading, reading skills and being read to. One of our focuses during oral language, is having a conversation with someone by asking questions of the person and encouraging everyone to participate.

Mathematics and Statistics

This week we have continued to develop some number knowledge and strategy. After camp we will be discussing with the students the stages and next steps for their learning. The following website will support these discussions with your child:

Camp Preparation

With camp approaching us, it is important that all gear coming to camp has a name on it. Please go over the gear list tonight with your child to ensure that they have everything. Please do not send large suitcases.
