Ako conferences and more...

Andrea Boon —

What another couple of busy weeks we have had. Thank you so much for attending your child’s Ako Conference over the last two days/nights.

If you have missed an interview for any reason, please don’t hesitate to make contact with your child’s teacher to organise another time. Working together with whānau is an important part of education – it is key to making education a success.

Yesterday afternoon we had a special guest “Sport Suzie” entertain the children. A very humorous and energetic show – so much dancing and some awesome balloons were given out (check out the photos!).

Around the school, there has been some exciting Ako happening. We were lucky enough to have some writing shared with us last week. Amazing to hear such entertaining stories from some of our youngest writers!

Our Year 5/6 and 7/8 basketball teams went off to Russley school on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and by all accounts had a great time, representing our school with pride and enthusiasm.

A huge CONGRATS to our EPro8 teams – we had two teams enter the competition this year. Our Year 5/6 team won their section and have moved on to the next round…watch this space!

Lisa and I would like to give a special thank you to all of our staff for the time that has gone into preparing for the Ako Conferences...not to mention the fabulous classroom programmes that are in action – thanks for your effort team!

Enjoy the rest of your week.
