Week 7 Notices

Nicky Hebberd —

We are now in the swing of things and are fine tuning the routines in our learning.

Kia ora whānau,

This week we have enjoyed the Hiwi the Kiwi show around sustainable fishing. We have also done some work on digital citizenship, see attachments for information regarding this weeks lesson.

A reminder that we are still finding that some children are not bringing a hat or reading folder to school each day. Please ensure your child has these in their bag every day. Children who do not have a hat have to sit under the umbrellas for play. Reading folders with reading books need to be brought back to school each day so they can get their guided reading. When we visit the library, it is a requirement that they take their reading folder to transport the books in.

Upcoming dates:

Lucky Bookclub

The orders are due back to school on Wednesday 15 March.

ICAS Exams

Please read the Hail article regarding these external exams if you are interested in putting your child forward.

Parent Consultation Evening  - Monday 13 March 6:30 - 7:30pm

All whānau are welcome to our World Cafe evening around the direction of our school values. We would love to see you there.

Cross Country - 31 March

Towards the end of term, we will participating in our Merrin School Cross Country. Children will need to do a 2km run at Burnside Park. For the event, they will need to wear blue shorts, a blue t-shirt and sports shoes.

We hope you have a great weekend!
