The Year 1 and 2 classes visited Halswell Quarry to enjoy the 'Junior Park Explorers' programme. Celia and Tracey from the Christchurch City Council discussed native birds, seed dispersal, pollination and decomposition. The children especially enjoyed hunting for insects amongst the rotting logs. Fabulous parent help thank you.

As we continue to explore different aspects of looking after our environment we are inviting the Year 1 and 2 families to join us for our 'Working Bee' on Saturday 17 August 10-12.00.  This is a chance for us to add compost and replant our 'Whetu Gardens.' We have indoor jobs for those who prefer staying warm!
